emie hughes is a professional dancer & multimedia artist living in the Greater Philadelphia Area. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a B.A. in Theatre Arts from Dickinson College, where she won the Emil R. and Tamar Weiss Prize in Creative Arts. After graduating, she lived and worked in NYC for 6 years.
Her dance works have been presented at the Delaware Art Museum, Triskelion Arts, the EstroGenius Festival (2017), the Brandywine River Museum, Dixon Place, FiveMyles Gallery, Bowery Poetry Club, The Living Gallery, Women in Motion’s Fall and Spring Salons, among many others.
Her mixed-media works have been shown at Rabbithole Gallery (Brooklyn, NY), The Art Trust (West Chester, PA), and the Delaware Art Museum (Wilmington, DE), among others.
Emie is currently pursuing a Certificate in Graphic & Digital Design from Parsons School of Art & Design (New York, New York), as well as a Certificate in Dance for Parkinson’s through Mark Morris Dance Group (Brooklyn, New York).

In 2020, she founded Blue Jar, which for the past 6 years has been a space where she teaches art and creates original artworks.
